Alain Richard is a Belgian photographer, born in 1968. After obtaining a degree in Photographyin 1991, he moved to Paris to further his knowledge, working a fashion photographer’s assistant.Quickly he beginsto collaborate with renowned figures including Jean Baptiste Mondino, Satoshi Saikusa, Mario Testino, to name a few.
In 1997, he secured his first global campaign, marking the beginning of his career as a fashion photographer and film director. In 2000,he founded Studio 202, which swiftly became aniconic studio in Belgium. Throughout his years in fashion photography, he was fortunate to have his work featured in premier magazines such as Vogue USA, Vogue France, W, DS Magazine, ELLE, among others. In 2014, Alain decided to transition from the world of fashion to pursue his artistic instincts, focusing on art photography. He began engaging with thenatural landscape as a form of self-reflection, capturing vast expanses of sea, sky, and landin large format photographs.
Alain collaborates with organizations such as the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and Global Wildlife Foundation to contribute to the safeguarding of our planet. His photographs have been exhibited worldwide, from NYC to Eastern Europe and Asia. Alain currently resides in Lisbon, continuously traveling to explore new ways of capturing the beauty of nature and the universe.
