Your privacy is important to MOVART GALLERY (GODWATER S.L). We are committed to
protecting your personal data and being transparent about the personal data we hold and
use and, wherever possible, giving you control over how we use your personal data.
This notice is intended to be communicated to you in a concise, transparent, intelligible, and
easily accessible manner, but we appreciate that you may have queries or want to seek
clarification as to its terms. If so, please contact us (using the details set out above) and we
will endeavour to respond to you as soon as possible.
We may make changes to this notice from time to time, including as may be necessary or
prudent to reflect any changes in the ways in which we process personal data or any
changes in data protection laws. Any changes and updates to this notice will be posted on
the MOVART Gallery website. Please check this notice regularly so that you are aware of
any changes.

1. THE DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you: You may provide us with personal
information about yourself by corresponding with us in person (at events, exhibitions or art
fairs), by phone, e-mail or otherwise. We may collect your personal data to inform you of the
various services we offer. The information you give us may include your name, address,
e-mail address, phone number, occupation, demographic information (such as preferences
or interests) and only if required, your payment details and financial data i.e. your bank
name, account number and sort code.

2. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA

We collect your information when you decide to interact with us. We collect information in a
number of ways which are listed below:
• Information you give to us when you come into the gallery or visit us at a fair.
• Collecting information you give to us when you purchase any artwork or visit us at an art
fair.
• Ask us to sign up to our mailing list.
• Correspondence and social media interaction we have with you.
• From time to time, we may also get data about you from third parties – please see the ‘How
we may use your information’ section for more details. This could include other artistic
venues where you have seen our work.
We also look at how our audiences use our websites, so that we can offer the best possible
experience whether you’re finding out about opening times or just trying to find out more
about our latest exhibitions.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We use information held about you in the following ways:
• To carry out our obligations to provide you with the information and services you request
from us.
• To provide you with information about other artists, exhibitions and services we offer similar
to those you have already purchased or enquired about.
• To notify you about changes to our service.
• To provide marketing information to you and for the purposes of customer support and
billing.
• For security and identification purposes.
• For internal record keeping.
When we may disclose your information to others
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent
unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and
managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
• We may share your information with selected third parties including business partners,
suppliers (shippers and framers) and sub-contractors for the performance of any service
contract we enter with you.
• We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to
disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order
to enforce or apply our website’s terms of use; or to protect our rights, property, or safety or
that of our customers or others.
• We will hold your personal data on our systems for as long as it is in the gallery’s legitimate
interest to do so as well as review all personal data and our retention periods regularly to
establish whether we are still entitled to process it.
• If we decide that we are not entitled to do so, we will stop processing your personal data,
however we may retain your personal data in an archived form.

4. DATA SECURITY

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from
being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In
addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and
other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal
data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

5. DATA RETENTION

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes
for which we collected such information (or for any compatible purpose), including for the
purposes of satisfying any legal (including any obligations required of us under the AML
Regulations), accounting or reporting requirements. In some circumstances you can ask us
to delete your data.
In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be
associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this
information indefinitely without further notice to you.

6. YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the General
Data Protection Regulation 18th September 2024 by emailing director@movartgallery.com.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please
email info@movartgallery.com as soon as possible and we will promptly update any
information found to be incorrect.
